We packed up camp this morning and headed off for a mud bath in a river on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The drivers told us the mud in the river was the same as the mud you get at a top spa. We were still two days away from our next shower, so I decided not to get in. But that didn't stop me from laughing at the others when they were covered in mud from head to toe.

In the afternoon we went to the South Dakota Badlands. The landscape was straight out of a John Wayne movie. It was really hard to believe. We first stopped off at an old Western town that used to be thriving when the railroad used to go through. Then in the afternoon we drove through a bunch of the canyons. We stopped off at a vista point to eat dinner and catch the sunset.
