Hi Everyone. Hope you had no plans for the day because today we are traveling back into the hills of Pennsylvania. Remember to buckle up. We are invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the rededication of the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum. We recently visited this marvelous place a few weeks back for a fundraiser antique show they had going on here. Perhaps you remember. This time all the important political people (Senators, etc.) are on hand to give speeches and do the ribbon cutting. Looks like a good turn out. The hard working people that worked diligently to get this major renovation done (>$5 million) are in attendance. Delores Buchsen from the Coudersport, PA. area was the person "who had a dream." She worked tirelessly to see this project through. We met Delores when we would ... read more

It was a warm and sunny day...... May 2nd. Too nice to stay inside or do yard work around the house. So we jumped in our favorite Ford Flex and headed across the state line into Potter County, God's Country, Pennsylvania. So snap your seat belts and ride along. Our first destination was Larry's Sport Center, outside of Galeton, PA. It is a huge store that sells motorcycles, ATV's, snowmobiles and related. He had advertised free food and free entertainment on this beautiful day. Perfect! We were on our way. The food was delicious. We had missed the Elvis Presley impersonator but that was okay. The lady next to me said he didn't throw out any scarves and was just okay in his performance. We enjoyed the Johnny & June Cash impersonators very much. Their stage ... read more

Hello, Hello Everyone! Hope you have settled back into your regular routines and are enjoying the small signs of Spring. There are a slew of robins working away in our yard. Best of all, I heard the peepers the other night...I love their song! I could listen to them forever. Peep, Peep, Peep. Now that we are back home from spending our winter in Florida (and what a grand time we had), we took a nice drive to Coudersport, PA. -- @ 30 miles from home. The sun was shining, the sky was a gorgeous Florida blue color and it was just fun to be back in our own neck of the woods (still all brown sticks, though). We live in Shongo, a hamlet in New York @ one mile from the PA. border so we ... read more

Four and half hours away from Philadelphia is my good friend Chad's camp in Potter County, PA. His Place there is pretty sweet, with a giant hill that i climbed twice, and i perfect creek. Snow covered everything. the first night we all settled in and went to bed. In the morning chad showed us around and then we went sledding. later on me and dennis ccrossed the creek and climbed the hill. i view at the top was the reward for the hard climb ( im out of shape ). the next day we made tie dye shirts. and eventually we all went for a hike up the hill. i slid almost the shole way down on my ass. it rocked. somewhere in there we went to a deer farm and saw some amish peeps ... read more
