hi all, Wow...its amazing!!Isnt it how u feel when u have a truly wonderful weekend and some nice time with ur friends??This is exactly how it was for me this weekend!! Destination this time was Philadelphia-Home to History of United States of America.We have been planning for this for last whole week,in a sense it was very well planned.We searched the net extensively to chart out a perfect programme for this one day sightseeing. We first booked a Cab to take us to Wilmington Station.We hit the road quiet early i.e 7.15 am from our apts and reached Wilmington by 7.45.The ticket wondow opened at 8.00 sharp.After booking the return tickets to 30th Steert of Phili (as they call it here).Wilmington has a nice little train station that resembles its appearnce to those filmed in David ... read more

Philadelphia - an early start on Sunday to get the Greyhound bus to Philadelphia, another excellent New York deli breakfast for pennies before taking the bus to Mt Laurel, Philly. It was a fairly quick and easy 2 hours to Philly from NY, I got chatting to a guy on his way back to Cincinnati from a week partying with his friends in New York - he was on the bus for another 12 hours after we got off! Peter picked us up at the bus stop and took us back to their house, a condo on a gated community. The apartment is really nice and there is a communal pool and pond as well as an indoor basketball court and gym. Everything you need. Philly! First stop: Franklion Institute to check out the King Tut exhibit on loan from Egypt. The artifacts were pretty fascinating but some of the things we had hoped to see, such as the headmasks and any of the coffins, weren't there. However, they did have amazingly preserved artifacts on display that were found in Tut's tomb, as well as artifacts discovered in his family members' tombs. Pretty neat! Then we explored the rest of the museum for a quick minute, and off to lunch! We went down to the two competing cheesesteak places in Philly: Gino's and Pat's. We were going to buy one cheesesteak from each place and compare, but our hunger got the better of us and we just ordered from Gino's. Its finally time to take-off- It was an early morning for mom and i, getting last minute things, making sure i had all of my medications for my diabetes and such, and finally driving to Baltimore to catch the plane. I guess i was a little nervous, barely ate anything, although my mom bought me a delicious lunch. So mom gave me gold fishes to munch on while i was on the plane. I think i was more excited than anything, but upset that i was leaving zach and home for the next 2 months.. here are a few pics of my bags being packed, the group of us before take-off, the first plane ride where jen almost ripped my hand off(first flyer!!) and my oh-so delicious meal i ate, NOT.
