Crater LakeDave B 3/8/07 Jim, Rosey and I all got up around 6:00 the next morning. We had some breakfast and got going around 7:00. In Oregon all stations are Full Service. You can not pump your own gas. The only other state in the Union that does this is New Jersey.

Lots of clear cut logging goes on around here. They plant the trees back right away and about 50 years later they are harvested again.

Several seals were hanging out around this pier during my visit. Whenever I got close they would go under water. They also dove right before the crest of the wave would hit them.

I loved this memorial. It was to all the men that have lost their lives in this area trying to earn a living on the sea. These are the roughest seas I have seen anywhere on this trip.

Those are wagon frames you see. No not actual size. They would not let me in because I was 2 minutes late for the tour that had just started. I almost had a Griswold moment but decided to just move on.
