We spent the last week in Ashland. We originally were going to only spend a few days and get on to Portland. However, the grandbaby is not ready to join us yet. So, we decided to hang out in Ashland. It gave us more time to hang out with Patrick. We met with Patrick's college adviser and had dinner with his roommates. It was very cold and wet in Ashland. Every morning when I would take Red out for his walk there would be frost on the ground, fog and it would be about 30 degrees. Somedays there would be some sun in the afternoon. One night the propane tank ran out and the heater was pumping cold air. It was just plain COLD.
We got to Portland this afternoon. Dana's due date was yesterday. She is doing fine, but the baby is just very comfortable and not ready to come out and join the party. It is warmer in Portland. The campground is very nice and we found a wonderful place for drinks and dinner nearby. I will keep you posted....
