Brimfield is Behind Us - Heading Home

Going Home, We Are Going Home.....I like that song. Besides, that is what we are doing right now. We got up early this morning, closed up the RV, hooked on our trailer and bid a fond farewell to Brimfield-Land. Not exactly as smooth as that...never is. Cory wanted me to pull the RV ahead a couple feet to get one of the boards he puts down under a tire so it isn't in a hole. The RV didn't seem to want to drive forward so he got in and gave it some gas. BANG was the sound we heard at the back of the motor home. Noooooooooo, please don't be anything serious...like a leveler that didn't go up. Our control panel said they were all up and working fine. Whew...nothing serious. It was the big mud flap across the back end. It was bent one way when we backed in & "snapped" the other way when we pulled out. Made out of rubber - nothing broken. Hallelujah! Hooking onto our trailer requires some tricky maneuvering. The promoter leaves it in a back parking lot and Cory has to back our RV down the roadway to it. Sometimes we disagree on the direction to turn the wheels and find ourselves not blowing kisses to one another. But we get the job done. This time, however, the Hungarians pulled their semi-tractor trailer along where we were hooking up and we had the roadway blocked. I explained that they would just have to wait a minute (which we had to do when they unloaded....we waited hours!). Finally, we had a straight shot out of the New England Motel Field and it's been smooth sailing since. Knock on wood: we aren't home yet but we'll get there later today. Now we will get back into our Shongo routine. Everything until now seems based upon "once we do Brimfield" - well, we've done it. We have some dentist and doctor appointments next week. Tim's birthday is the 29th. We need to rearrange our booth at our Co-Op. We need to buy a rug for our newly remodeled upstairs bedroom. We are going to a Good Sam RV Rally in Syracuse, NY on June 13-16. Weather permitting, we hope we can just relax on our front porch at what we call our "Bistro". Sitting in our rocking chairs, sipping a couple cocktails, enjoying a sunny day and watching the birds at my feeders....all's right with the world and we're glad we are in it. We hope you have your special "Bistro" days, also.
