Peggy’s Cove and Paul Mcartney.

The Beatles Tribute band were really popular as a main attraction in The Show Theatre , so they had them play a dance party in the lounge.

We knew we would have to be early to get a seat and normally we walk the stairs to the 11 floor. Tonight we took the elevator and got to meet the boys. Well close up they were a little older than boys. 20 years performing Beatles music

Paul loved my Marilyn tie , of course we didn’t have a camera with us! Said he would trade his Liverpool accent for it.

Were told by our British friends , not Kaye and Richard , that they had seen the Beatles live in the early 60’s in Liverpool and his accent wasn’t right!

Sydney is in Nova Scotia , they have a large fiddle on the pier and some history in the downtown core. An hour 30 was enough to get a feel for the town. Just wandered around., the weather was pretty good. Again the Queen Mary was there with us , so , about 4000 people on

Yes , it’s a big fiddle!
the streets, looking for something to do.

A family friend picked us up in Halifax and toured The Swissair Memorial and Peggy’s Cove, The Citadel and the Titanic burial grounds. A very interesting day! Best part was the chocolate croissants in Dartmouth though

Back on the ship for Chic night and lobster dinner, then the dance party.

Twist and Shout!!!

Last day , which is a sea day and you can feel the cruisers wearing down , getting ready to disembark.

That means eating and drinking and shopping to the Max!

The crew are always wonderful, but now is the time to establish the commendations and tips with the passengers, so they are working hard to make a great impression.

Day 1 we had Carrot Cake , which was the best, then not a sniff of it until this afternoon. Suspicious!

Kate finished shopping , we had ship credit to spend before tonight. I picked a pair of Ray Bans , the first non knockoff I’ve owned.

Into NYC tomorrow for a quick visit with a friend of ours , then Dreamliner back to YVR.

Good disembarkation, said by to Kaye and Richard. Transit bus to the airport then Ahhh cannot drop bags until 1330.

Dragged them into The City on the Air Tram and the NJ train. Train was stuffed so stood between the cars on the coupling.

Ride em Cowboy!

A friend meeting us at a restaurant on Broadway an 28 st. That’s only about 6 blocks , so doable. Great restaurant, great service and coffee and one of the best beef burgers I’ve had. Listen up Celebrity.

Train back was civilized and I got the non Adult fare

Security , straight through at EWR , boarding lounge had 500 passengers crammed into a space for 200. Chaos!

Just waiting for a seat assignment.
