Actually, we kind of did take a left turn at Albuquerque. We're in Los Lunas at Stefanie's cousin's for the night. Before leaving the OKC hotel, we had make-your-own waffles in the hotel lobby, accompanied by the lovely sound of the desk lady hacking. Then she went out for another smoke. Good choice, honey. We had a wild-goose chase for a car wash before we got started on our trip. It was fruitless, but at least we got to see the crap part of town. Yay! Driving through Oklahoma during the day, we realized that the song from the musical is no lie. There really is wind sweepin' down the plains. It blew our cars all over the place. AND tumbleweeds are real!!! ("Like Jesus," as a billboard in Missouri (I think) stated.) First mini tumblers
