The director on Camp Nejeda
A funny story to try and scare the campers on Friday July 13th -

We read the following to the campers on July 11th from a 'fake' newspaper report

Arthur Frisbee, the inventor of the frisbee, died on July 10th after living the remainder of his days in Stillwater (the town the camp is in). He was due to be buried on friday 13th.

The next day, we read the paper again:

The coffin was opened yesterday for a final viewing, and the relatives of Arthur were shocked to find frisbees inside the coffin, where there were none when the lid was originally closed. The funeral is still due to take place friday morning.

So that morning some of us, armed with 300 frisbees go to a graveyard in Stillwater (where no one has been buried for 200 years) and have some fun..check out the pictures.

The kids come down and see the 'mess' the graveyard is in..then they see which cabin group can collect the most disks.

The next morning we round off the joke by reading from the paper:

The funeral group had stopped for lunch after the burial and

The kids having fun collecting frisbees
after spreading frisbees all over the graveyard in his memory, only to be shocked and sadened when they return to find all the frisbees gone!

On a happier note...this morning, July 16th, while we were in our meeting and call came in to say there was a bear in the girls unit, again. But we left it alone and it went. However, 2 hours later one of the counsellors comes running up to me saying it is back..4 of us go down to scare it away. It turns out to be a cub (about 100 pounds) and where there is a cub, there is a mum. So we leave quickly, but not without getting 2 photos! 😊 Not the best light, but you can make it out.

Now, I will speak to you after the party
