Left Wendover and headed to Reno. Another long but doable drive. This time it was throught the high desert of Nevada. Not much going on there, a lot of dirt and small scrub bushes. It wasn't hot, about 75 degrees and clear. Just a long road.

Climbing the mountains in the Sequoia with a trailer has been a chore. At the highler elevations it has struggled for power with a 5-7 mpg. At this point it wasn't about mpg, it was like a boat - estimating gallons per hour! If we do this trip again towing a trailer, we will have to upgrade to a more powerful truck.

We stayed outside of Reno near Carson City. The KOA was in a little enclave called Boomtown. It had a Cabaelas store along with a Casino and Hotel. Michele and I walked the Casino and played the slots for about an hour. It was her first time playing a slot machine. I think we lost $12. It was fun.
