We kind of got a bit of a sleep in as it wasn’t till 10am till we got going after eating a simple BYO brekky in the room. Erika had already left as she didn’t look at my itinerary dates properly. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to say good bye. Brendan said he thought I was asleep, but I wasn’t. The kids were asleep and they too were disappointed as they got along really well.

We stood in the queue to get cheap tickets for a show tonight. We stood there for over an hour an ended up getting Cirque Du Soleil Mystere tickets. We ended up also getting a buffet meal at Harrahs as well for a few dollars off. The guys said lunch is cheaper if we get there before 3pm and it was just near the Grand MGM where the show is. Just near in LV terms is a massive block away and very weary on the legs. We had to go the MGM Grand to actually ‘trade’ our tickets and pick seats. I was thrilled to be able to get the tickets and was glad they hadn’t sold out. After that it was getting

later and later. I really wanted to go the the Outlet stores in North LV so we decided on getting an all day pass to get on the local transport up and down the strip. It turned out to be a waste of money as we only used it to go back. I thought we might be able to kill two birds with one stone by being able to see the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop which Pawn Stars is based on. As it turned we couldn’t see it, and although I had the address and a bit of a map, the reality is it was stinking hot and the walk would’ve been blocks and blocks away from the bus stop. As it turned out the minute we got to the outlet store which took about an hour to get to (who would’ve thought the south of the strip to the North was that large), Brendan was pissed off and just wanted to go. The Levi’s store was the only one I really wanted to go to and as it turned out the store was crowed with zillions of tourists. Even more incredulous was that there was only six change

rooms for all the customers. While Brendan waited outside with the kids (a terrible sign when a woman is trying to shop), I then had to decide which of th billion of styles I wanted and then decide what American size I was. I had an assistant give me 3 pair of what sh thought I was. I suppose I should’ve been delighted that she gave a bunch of jeans that were too small. I had to get a message to her via one of the other assistants and she got me the bigger size. They all fit but only one style that was completely happy with. Who woul’ve thought that ou of the billions of pairs of jeans there , that they didn’t actually have the lighter colour I wanted. So I ended up getting a pair that I wasn’t completely happy with, just so I felt the entire afternoon wasn’t a waste and after paying $27 for all of us the catch the bus, the jeans weren’t that cheap afterall! It was becoming increasingly obvious that we weren’t going to get back in time for the end time for 3pm for lunch. After the furore in the Levi’s store I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I quickly poked my nose in a few other shops but the reality is if you’re not into brand shopping anyway then it is a bit of a waste as everything was still expensive. Marion would’ve loved it. All the shop were outside as well, so it made wandering around very uncomfortable. We got back onto the strip at about 3.30pm

Can’t remember what we did for lunch but we got the shuttle back to the hotel . I stayed with the kids while they went to the pool and Brendan had a snooze. We got tickets to the late show at 9.30pm to save money so it gave us a bit of time to freshen up put something a bit nicer than shorts and a T-shirt on but wondered why I bothered when most of LV strip population do not bother. We got to the buffet at 7.30pm in plenty of time even though we had to wait for ages to be seated. The buffet at Harrah’s was more amazing that anything I had ever seen. Full on seafood, Japanese, creole, Mexican. Basically anything you wanted they had. The dessert area was like going into the biggest bakery you have ever seen. We pigged out as usual. This place put sizzler to shame and all at $15 for adults and $8 for kids! This was when the Hispanic server first called Bobby Bebe and it has now stuck as I noticed they all call there kids that. I thought the Hispanic population was a minority group, but everywhere we have been it is definitely in the majority. We had plenty of time to get the show. It was simply amazing and words can not describe the effects, the acrobatic performances and the over all experience and so I won’t. I’m really glad we did this although it was a bit of an extravagance for us. But we never do this stuff at home due to distance and cost. We missed the 11.30pm shuttle due to there being too many people on board. So I stood my ground in the queue for the very last shuttle of the evening and we got on no problems thank goodness.
