Lake Mead/Hoover dam
Joe at one of the view pointsWe made the 3 hr car journey to the hoover dam by 10am, parked up and took a walk around, even managing somehow to lose my mum at one point - but that’s another story! It was so hot here all 4 of us were literally soaked through - Not a nice sight. For some obscure reason we got back in the car and decided to put the roof down (making us ten times hotter).
Shortly after this a light appeared on our dash, and with our knowledge of cars (the manual) we discovered it meant ‘take your car to a Toyota dealer’ Oh shit’ we thought, have yet to deal with it. Anyway 45 minutes later we arrived in Vegas, absolutely dripping! Not sure what the temperature was but it was forecast to be 114F. We checked in and dropped our luggage in the room then took a look around our hotel - Treasure Island or ti as its now known.
We had lunch in the buffet here then walked to the shopping centre, and done a tad of shopping!! Then it was onto some of the hotels - Venetian with the Gondola’s, The Mirage with the white

At the Hoover Dam lion & Cubs and Caesars palace - Where of course we done some more shopping!! By now it was our latest night yet at 10pm!! We walked back to our hotel, with my mum and Joe exhausted - (Obviously it’s not a ‘child’ friendly place here and we knew that, but really it totally isn’t, Am guessing Joe will spend most of the day on the internet tomorrow).
Joe & Nige went for dinner, whilst I took my mum back for a much needed rest. When Joe & Nige came back, Joe was out like a light and myself and Nige went down to the casino for a bit of gambling. $10 up woo hoo!
Only have the internet for 24hrs so not sure on when the next update will be... Oh and didn't get many interesting photos today....

Vegas Baby !!
I was wondering when you was going to hit vegas, blimey that is hot, you will have to spend all your time there in the air conditioned casino's, which im sure you wont mind !! Enjoying the blog, hope your feeling better now Carole Take care, see you soon Hayley xx
