One week to go!!!
Still don't have plane tickets in hand, travel agent assures that all is well.
Still a little worried about the Delta Airlines proposed strike. If all goes as we have read in the papers or web, a strike, if it happens, won't start untill April 17 at the earliest, and by that time we will be in Zurich heading to Chamonix.
Over this weekend we saw news accounts from Kathmandu and fighting in the streets. We knew about the political problems as we were planning the trip. From most accounts it looked like we didn't have much to worry about being tourists particularly since we were going to be in the mountains. Road blockades and curfews had little effect on what we were planning on doing. The news accounts make this situation in Nepal a bit more serious and that has us worried a bit. Keeping an eye on developments there.
