Fall colours beginning in North Dakota Got up early - made a quick coffee and took to the road pj's and all. Drove 100 miles along the interstate before stopping at a rest area - got dressed and had breakfast at a picnic table in the rest area...oh the joys of travelling in an RV.
Continued along the highway to Minneapolis admiring all the lakes along the highway. Minnesota is known as the state with 10,000 lakes and it is easy to see why. They are everywhere - all shapes and sizes - some folks lucky enough to have built their homes right alongside the lakes.
Forgot to mention - we have seen quite a bit of road kill from Montana to Minnesota - mostly deer, coyote and skunks. This section of driving today has mostly been through corn farming territory. Driving across the USA you get a perspective of how big this country really is. You can also see how this country needs it's truck drivers - so many semi's drive the interstate roads of the USA everyday supplying the country with all their needs from fresh foods to giant machinery.
Filled up with petrol in the town of Alexandria. Fuel was $3.33

Enjoying our visit to Frontier Village per gallon. RV took $138 to fill up. Fuel is getting cheaper the further on we drive. Also did the Sani dump and water at the same time. Arrived outside of Minneapolis just after lunch.
Stopped by the Albertsville premium outlets to purchase lightweight comfy walking shoes. Got some bargains at the Columbia sportswear store. A pair of shoes each and a security wallet for Geoff- we had coupons worth $90 for this store which we collected when purchasing our warm gear from the Columbia Store in Seattle. Still got $30 left so that shows you how cheap the shoes were! Would not have been able to purchase 1 pair of these shoes for the price we paid for the 2 back home in Australia.
These outlets had lots of stores but we have decided to try and keep our shopping down until we reach NYC and San Fran - it is very hard to resist some the bargains though.
Next was a stop at Best Buy electrical store. We purchased a small Sony "point and shoot" camera from the store in Seattle but it has a few problems so we wanted to do an exchange. This

Small town of Regent ND wasn't possible as USA only gives 15 days in store warranty - then it's a Sony problem. After a bit of negotiation the sales assistant finally agreed that sending the camera away for repairs was not a suitable option for us.
We decided to upgrade our DSLR camera and the store agreed to give us our money back for the faulty point and shoot camera which we used towards the DSLR camera. Sometimes the simple things take so long to sort out! The boss is happy with his new Nikon DSLR and 2 lenses.
Problem sorted but by this time it was getting on dark so no sight seeing will be happening today. The sales assistant gave us some ideas of things to do in the city so we parked up at a rest centre in Maple Glen and studied the map for a day in the city tomorrow.
We don't have too many photos to add to today's blog so we will add a few from recent days of travel. Enjoy!
