Open road ahead. Pavement leading us to the unknown ahead of us. Joyful singing and laughter.... Really? It's not a Disney movie people.

Let me start over. Road filled with cars. Semis pressing us against the highway divider. Headphones and a movie passing the time so Paul and I can listen to our music and chat.
Now a traffic jam. Doesn't matter. We have nowhere to be, only places go.
Oh, the places we'll go.

Our departure was very smooth. I think we've packed everything but the kitchen sink. Lovin this van for it's creature comforts, roominess and it's coolness factor...ok for the 12 and under crowd. I still think my "Van Gogh" license plate is clever and chuckle worthy.

And we have arrived in St. Louis, Missoura or Missouri. Pronounced both ways depending on where you are from. We got a great night view of the Arch and Busch Stadium lit up with a summer night ballgame as we drove into town. We spent most of drive in the rain in major traffic that set us back an hour. Though the drive felt faster than I thought it would. We left the rain and ended the day with a pretty sunset over the fields of whatever grows in these parts.

We will be staying in the Lou for two nights. We will be exploring tomorrow starting with a ride up the Arch. I am a little claustrophobic and a little nervous...breathe... Should be interesting to say the least. I think Grants Farm and City Museum are on the docket.

It's so weird laying here in bed, kids falling asleep, Paul checking emails and me writing as if we have never stopped traveling. Very Deja Vu. I love it.

We will check in tomorrow night to share our adventures.
