Well I have a little less than 8 weeks until I leave for Japan again, and not much less stressful than last time unfortunately. I am still seeking someone to sublet my place for the summer and apparently the office has yet to locate any short term housing arrangements for Naho and me. This last part I am not as worried about since, they didn't find anything until about 3 weeks before my arrival the last time. However, I am stressed about finding someone to sublet my place. I suppose I still have another 5 weeks, but I really want to get this taken care of. Also, exams loom ahead and although it's better than 1L year, exams are always stressful, as they are the only grade we receive for the semester on very difficult material. ... read more

Pretend I'm still in Boston - here are me and Mum at the Union Oyster Bar, the longest running restaurant in the United States! I ate too much bread, as Dad is always warning me not to do, so that smile on my face is very forced as I did not want to finish that clam chowder! ... read more

To say I am exotionally exhauseted would be an understatement. The conference has been wonderful and I feel veryu validated for the way in which our agency and approach adoption. It is hard to see the struggle so many adoption triad members have had to face becasue of the closed system. The shame and hurt that is caused by secercy. The one great thing that happeded today is that our keynote speaker was Darrly McDaniels - otherwise known as DMC from Run DMC. I was able to speak with him and of course had my picture taken! Tonight we are going to Little Italy in the North End so I hope to blog again with the details of that yummy trip. I am already dreaming of Mike's Pasteries again!... read more

We had a great time touring Boston today. It was wicked cold here and we were working hard to keep warm. I tried to download pics but with the new laptop I was unsuccessful. I will try again tomorrow. We went on a sightseeing trolly tour and got off at Paul Revere's house and took a tour. He had 16 children and 51 grandchildren! Then we walked around Little Italy and went to Mike's Pasteries which we were told by many local was the best place to go. We then went to Fanuel Hall and had our pictures taken at the "Cheers" bar/restaurant. We had lunch at Legal Seafood - lobster bisque! Dinner was at the Union Oyster House - clam chowder (said with a Bostonian accent) and lobster ravioli. We then hiked it to the ... read more

SEUFER6: DESTINATION: BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTES Monday, March 5, 2007 This morning we packed up 3 suitcases loaded them in the minivan and made the journey to the big beautiful city of Boston. The drive was only about 1 hour. We will be staying at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Boston for 2 nights and at a nice bed and breakfast for 2 nights in the north end. My dad drove us all the way into Boston, followed his map and got us nicely to our hotel. Our room wasn't quite ready, so the bellman held our luggage while we walked to a nice tavern for some lunch. After lunch we were going to walk to the park, but it was too cold for Lilly, so we headed back to our hotel where our room was ready. My ... read more

Our second day here at Cranwell was much quieter, but just as relaxing, as our first day. We were up again by eight thirty and this time, had breakfast delivered to our room, which was done so with a flourish. The continental breakfast wasn't overly exciting, but it hit the spot, and we were ready for our morning yoga class. I've found that each yoga class I've taken has been different, depending on who the instructor is, and this was no exception. Luckily, since I've been away from yoga for a while, the class was very slow and the instructor very forgiving about doing postures correctly. So it was quite enjoyable. After the class was over, it was off to the pool for a quick swim before lunch. It was hard to motivate myself to jump ... read more

I'm Sorry I'm Sorry! I know it has taken me way too long to write this, but i do have my excuses. The prices for internet access in Boston was ridiculous, and we were just too busy in New York to find a computer. But I will make up for that now by writing everything down! After being in my first 'Executive Lounge', getting into a very small and cramped plane heading towards Boston was a bit ironic. Luckily the flight only took 45 minutes, and it was such a clear day which meant we could see the ground for the whole of the flight (even at 35,000 Feet). We arrived in Boston, and walked straight out of the airport (no horrible/scary American Customs asking me stupid questions like "Why would you be travelling to Boston?" ... read more

I am feeling incredily spoiled and luxurious after yesterday's day at the spa - seriously, this is a delicious experience. We woke up relatively leisurely and headed over to the spa and fitness center for our ten am aqua aerobics class. We were by far the youngest people in there, so young, in fact, that the other ladies in the class were sure that we weren't participating. But we kept our resolve and joined the class, which was taught by an instructor who looked remarkably like my sister, only taller. She taught from dry land, which meant that we had ten times the resistance for each move, and let me tell you, that does tire you out sooner. It was really a full body workout, but it was fun, and I think I'm going to search ... read more

I'm finally here at Cranwell on vacation, and ready for my spa treatments! Yesterday, we left around eleven for a relatively short drive up through the Berkshires. It was a great day for driving because it was overcast, and the mountains in the background were really beautiful. The drive was reminding me of the trip up to my alma mater, Hamilton College. Just off the exit, we decided to stop for lunch and a little shopping at Prime Outlets, a little outlet mall. I was excited to have my first real piece of pizza since being back from India, and that provided me with enough sustenance to shop for the afternoon. Prime Outlets wasn't nearly as crowded as url=http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/out... read more
