Rearranged!
It's not the weather - these past two days have been perfect. Our sales have been less than perfect, though. We started off with a bang but it has slowed down to a whisper. Talking with some of the dealers around us, we are all in the same boat. That doesn't help us to sing a Happy Tune. We rearranged our booth bringing the back wall inside stuff to the outside of the tent. It doesn't probably change anything but it helps our psyche. Of course, I'm writing this as one of the biggest and oldest fields is opening today. The crowds swarm there and leave us to sit and wait for their return. We are at their mercy. So now I decided to join them since we can't fight them. I walked ALL the way to the end of the show of Brimfield (well, one end anyway - I am not Superwoman and there is no way I can ever go in the other direction...too many miles to travel). The crowds are thick and swarming. As far as the eye can see: tents, people, cars and stuff and more stuff and more stuff! My pictures don't even come close to

showing you even a small portion of what is here. It is truly mind boggling. You have to see it to believe it. I walked to the church that looks like the Old North Church (it's not). This is the edge of town where the fields stop or start, depending the way you are traveling. Returning back to our tent was a test of my strength. I was so jealous of all the pups that were passing me by as they rode so proud and relaxed in their strollers. Lucky Dogs! We are trying to sell an invalid litter chair. I'm thinking if any more excursions, I shall seek out some porters and have them carry me around in this chair. That would be classy! Just call me Cleopatra. As the day wore on, the crowds returned and our selling picked up some. We still have a ways to go, though. Yahoo, the "hustler" lives: by the end of the day, we had a nice little flourish so it all ended on a good note...and with seeing the glass half full: there's always tomorrow. Catch you then.
