What a difference a day makes! The sun is shining, the sky is clear blue (I always call that a Florida sky) and the temperature is really warm. Twenty-four hours earlier it was like we were in the frigid cold of Alaska. The Weather God has come around to our way of thinking. Thank you, Weather God! Today is "cool our heels" day. We sit and wait for the crowds to return. More fields have their opening day today so all the customers have streamed over to them. They'll be back later in the day but only after perusing the tons of stuff newly put out on display on the fresh fields. I've been using my translator app on my IPad to try to communicate with our new neighbors: the big time dealers with the semi- truck. They are Hungarians and don't speak English. Even with my translator, I can't speak Hungarian either. I don't think we will get real chummy. They have sold a ton of stuff - they say it was all brought over from Hungary...maybe, but other dealers have "Hungarian" imports also - kind of like imports from China. Last evening we had dinner with our dealer friend,

Brian. We walked to the Italian restaurant on the Main drag. A couple pops and a huge meal and we were in bed by 8:30 PM. Of course, being up since 4:00 in the morning was a contributor to easy sleep. Brian used to be set up right next to us but now he has moved to a big site across the road in another field. Is it something we said or did, Brian? I walked a new field today to get a few pictures. I am holding up better than I thought. Still throbbing in the legs but I can grin and bear it...I'm tough. The crowds are good....thousands of people are here. The traffic is bumper to bumper. I always wonder what someone who is just traveling through thinks when they end up in the gridlock of Brimfield. I bet they don't come this way again. They probably throw their GPS away. We say: If only every person here would each buy one thing from our tent: we could sell out in a flash. Not gonna happen. We also say: it's amazing we sell anything with the thousands of dealers here and the mega tons of stuff for sale. Sales today have been slow....we just have to wait it out. A lot of lookers, tire kickers, grazers - bring on the buyers. That's what we are here for. We like our stuff but we aren't in love with it....we are not running a museum. It's all For Sale. Whew...near the end of the day, some weary stragglers came by and bought a couple of our higher priced, bigger items. That pulled us out of our slump. And there's still tomorrow.....see you then.
