I’m sitting in the Philadelphia International Airport on my way back to France after Christmas break. Being home was great. I am sitting in this airport waiting for my plane and surround by all French people…I am suddenly happy! I feel home again! Comfortable! The pit left my stomach and I feel the strong sense of amazing-ness that I feel each and every day while I am in France. God is so amazing in his ways…it couldn’t be more perfect timing for me to end my 4 year relationship. Meeting so many people every day that inspire me and are just so INTERESTING...shows me that there is soooo much more in this world to offer…and no one ever needs to just settle for anybody. My Anglophone friends that I am surrounded by there are also the most independent people I know, and I really look up to all of them for that. It’s the perfect people to be around during a situation like this, because they all have the passion for traveling and no need at all for long-term relationships currently
It was amazing to see all my friends and family when I was home! I missed everyone so much
and it was so hard to say goodbye, especially to my parents. I feel so bad because I spent the last couple of days with them moping around…but they are so supportive. I cried a lot saying goodbye to them…the first time I have ever cried when leaving to go somewhere.
I’m such a creeper haha…Im just sitting here listening to everyone speak around me making sure I didn’t lose all my French skills in the past two weeks of English-only. I am sitting here smiling so much it hurts….why do I love French SO MUCH! It’s the love of my life. I think I really have to marry a French man now. Or at least a man who knows French really well. Because even when I fight in French, it amuses me and makes me happy. Speaking of fighting in FRENCH…not looking forward to returning to the apartment to see Fernando! I hope he became more relaxed or something in the past two weeks, magically, or changed his anti-American tactics, but I really really really doubt that. If we want to look at life optimistically, then at least I can say I’m getting really good at my fighting skills Oh la la.
New Years Resolutions:
*Work out at least 3 times a week
*Write in my travel blog 5 times a week
*Study French with my free time.
*Keep being optimistic and happy…life is too fun this way
Ah yes, can’t forget to write about my AMAZING flight from Paris to Philly I had on my way over to the states on December 22…so I was one of the first people on the plane, and since its such a huge plane it takes FOREVER to load, especially since people were running late because the security checkpoint is ridiculously slow compared to normal. I was all excited because the plane was almost full and no one was sitting next to me yet, so I thought I was going to get the entire row to myself! I had falling asleep on the window, when I heard someones bag go down next to me, and I was so mad! But then I looked over…and VOILA…the most beautiful man I have ever seen was taking his place next to me. I glanced at his passport and saw it was red…FRENCH! Life couldn’t be more perfect at the moment. I was stuck sitting next to a beautiful French man for the next 8 hours of my life. Perfection! I said Bonjour and then after takeoff I asked him where he was from…he said Paris and that he was moving to America to be with his girlfriend! Ummm amazing! I didn’t even sleep on the entire flight because we were talking the entire time, he was so nice! His name was Guillaume, and now we are facebook friends. I love life’s adventures haha. He also told me that one time when he was flying overseas to America, the ticket counter man was gay, and thought that Guillaume was so good looking that he upgraded him to first class for FREE!!! So I am hoping something great like that happens on my next flight, but I am a tiny bit doubtful?
Ok I am going to read now since my computer battery is about to die.
See you in France…Bisous <3
Ps: I’m going to Africa in a month…my 4th continent…SO COOL!!!
