Up early for work. I pretty much stayed in my jammies all day while working. Nice! I had a few conference calls/meetings and lots to do. Ken went over to our neighbors (David and Joyce) to join him for coffee by the campfire. Dave is going to a gun shop today so Ken decided to join him. When he returns we have lunch-a slice of whole wheat toast, peanut butter and a slice of Swiss cheese. It is really good, you should try it! Ken piddles the rest of the day-washes the truck, organizes the 'basement' of the RV. I worked the rest of the day, took a shower and we went out for dinner-Hometown Pizza again. The waitress called me 'darling'. We had a thin crust pizza with bacon, mushrooms, banana peppers, onions. We kind ... read more

We set the alarm for 6:30. I work remotely today. I showered, then drank coffee and ate one of those delicious cinnamon squares. Pati and Ken made a shopping list for Home Depot; they have a few projects planned while I work. They left and I had some quiet time to get work done. Ken is putting up a shade on her balcony. She gets the morning sun. He also set up a log holder; she has a wood burning fireplace. Once thy returned and got busy, they had to return for a couple more things. They picked up lunch from a little deli-delicious homemade sandwiches. We called Josh to wish him a Happy Birthday and chat. Miss him! I worked the rest of day and then we packed up and said our goodbyes to Pati. ... read more

When I wake up, Pati and Ken are gone...they are walking the campground. I get up and make my latte. They returned a few minutes later, hot and sweaty although they tried to act like they weren't hot. Pati had yogurt, Ken had toast and of course I had my waffles (by the way, I eat them dry, right out of the toaster-the only good ones are the whole grain blueberry Egos). Afterwards we get ready to go....we are going to explore wineries today. I had no idea there were any wineries in Kentucky. In fact the owner of the winery told me the first one in the US was in KY. I found it hard to believe so I researched it. Wikipedia says: "The first commercial winery in the United States was established by an ... read more
Me and Pati in her Mustang

We arrived at General Butler State Park campground around 5pm, drove back to our site and it appears to be too short and too steep, but the campground is full so there aren't any other choices. The camper next to us 'Bob' Comes over to give advice and recommendations. We successfully got the RV in, but the slope was so steep he couldn't get it level enough-we'd be walking uphill to get to our bedroom. It's extremely humid and we are soaking wet. Pati arrives from Ft Wright, KY in her cute blue convertable Mustang. Ken asks us to go up to the office and ask if there are any possible alternative sites. We get there just as they had a cancellation. Pati and I check it out; it's a lot more level, so we go ... read more
