1. This article is talking about day of the dead and the reason for it being celebrated. Moreover, this article talks about that celebration are held each year in Mexico and in certain parts of the United States and Cental American. It also talk about the natives viewed death as the continuation of life. Moreover, they embraced death instead of fearing it. People today use skulls and dances in honor of their deceased relatives.

2. I was surprise that people embraced death instead of fearing it. Moreover, this article had me confused on why did people celebrate the day of the dead. I was also confused on why people use skulls in honorof their deceased relatives?

3. It connects back to class because the definition of renaissance is rebirth, and the day of the dead represent the continuation of life. Moreover, life was a dream and only in death did they become awake. This article talks about culture and this relates to one of our themes in class.
