1. In this article, students were skipping school, and the school officals are turning to GPS tracking to make sure students come to class. Seventh and eight-graders with four or more unexcused are required to carry the GPS device. The students are required to enter a code that tracks their location five times a day. Every morning the sudents recieve a phone call telling them to be to school on time. Parents volunteer to help out to get their children away from gangs,

2. As I was reading this article, I was shocked that the students were required to carry GPS device. I also had question on if the student did not keep the GPS device what would happen. I wonder if the parents would protest against their child carrying the GPS device. I was confused on the the school would set up the GPS device.

3. This relates to class because we are talking about maps and exploration. GPS has a map on it and gives direction on a place to go. Moreover, GPS shows maps and locaions of different places. Their are different kinds of maps for different persceptive of things.
