"She says": The Booth Museum was fantastic in Cartersville, Georgia. The paintings and sculpture were amazing.....you really have to take two days to really study it, but we only had the one day....but it was worth it. It was not far from where we were parked in the rv park in Brenan. So we just took the day and went up there. The next day we were headed to Cumming, Georgia for the week to see our grandkids, Jaden and Ryan. The weather wasn't great at that time. Ok, we pulled out today. Left out around 11am and drove to exit 150 - Flying J for the night. Had dinner at Flying J and later had dessert - Waldrops had apple crunch with ice cream - Taylors had fudge brownie and ice cream.... read more

We have been traveling a bit - several local trips, south Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Myrtle Beach, Outer Banks, Shenadoah Valley, and Pigeon Forge. We, along with Jack and Barbara; are headed to Maine in just a couple of weeks. The plans currently are to head north to southeast of DC and spend a few days touring DC and possibly squaredance in Annapolis, then head to Bourne, MA and go to Plymouth Rock, Cape Cod, and such; then head on up to Maine. We will spend a week or so in Maine to see the sights, then head west to Niagra Falls before moving down into PA to tour some of the Amish country, finally from there Aleta & I will head to Pine Mountain, GA for a squaredance weekend. A fellow camper saw Bob taking pictures with his new camera and noticing that he had a Canon EOS Rebel T2i figured that he was serious about photography. He figured wrongly as it is a new hobby for Bob and we tend to alternate as I have more experience than Bob but he is a fast learner and is better with a monopod than I am. The camper, whose name was also Bob, recommended an Ansel Adams display at nearby Boothe Western Art Museum in Cartersville. We decided to take Bob’s daughter April for a day out. The museum was amazing with or without the famous photographers display. Unfortunately Bob got tired of looking at the large format black and white photography and moved on to the other paintings and sculptures without getting a picture of ... read more
