Since we did not have internet or phone in Cedar Key, my plan to do my work at the hotel failed. My wonderful husband set me up to have my office in the car. Printer, computer, scanner, etc... worked great while he drove us to our next destination. We left Cedar Key first thing in the morning and headed to the next town that had a decent breakfast. We stopped at a Denny's restaurant in Crystal Springs, home of the manatee tours. After a yummy breakfast, we continued to Tarpon Springs where we had lived 22 years ago for about a year. Our old neighborhood on Locust Street was our first stop. We almost didn't recognize the area. Of course you would expect change in 22 years. Its funny, somehow time stands still in our minds and we always are shocked to see such dramatic change. We also went to the Tarpon Springs sponge docks. Tarpon Springs is such an interesting town and a fun place to visit. I would suggest that if you are ever in the Tampa area, look up Tarpon Springs and visit. The greek town is well kept, the food is delicious, and there is plenty to do.
