Hi Everyone,

If anyone is interested in knowing exactly where I am at the time you are interested, you can just click on this link (Thanks Dave!):

Current Location on the map:
https://www.seascanner.com/ships-position-nieuw-statendam - you will see that we move about an inch a day across the Atlantic.

Stayed up last night and finished my book. It was 2:00AM before the lights got turned out. This morning started out slowly for me. Got up, took a shower and then went back to bed! When I got up for good, I went to the dining reservations desk to add 2 more people to my reservation for tomorrow night for one of the fancy restaurants that is included in my package. 2 of the folks that I meet up with in the evening want to try it also. The place is booked up solid until the night we are in Ireland so I made our reservation for the 3 of us for that night. We leave Ireland at 4 so there is plenty of time to make the 7:30 reservation. Then I went to the Casino to meet with the the Cruise Critic Blog people that I was a part of before coming on the cruise. 36 of us signed up for a "Slot Pull". We each paid $15. The plan was for everyone to have 3 pulls and then split whatever money was won (haha) at the end of 3 pulls each. Well, at the end of our pulls, we were each going to get $7.50 of our $15 back. That machine wasn't paying out anything. Well, to make a long story less long, we decided to hang in there a while longer. Of the $540 we had initially put into the machine, we stopped playing when it was $0! We literally had a couple hundred pulls and couldn't catch a break. I figure that I have spent $15 on less before and I had fun with the folks as there was a lot of comradery as we cheered each other on. I was one of the few lucky ones that actually had several pulls that paid out little amounts. It kept us in the game longer. Had a relaxing day reading up by the pool and doing more people watching. Met up with my solo buddies again at 6 for drinks. There are 5 of us regulars that we can count on. Then they went off to dinner and I went to the song and dance show with songs from the 70s so it was a lot of fun. My 2 cabin stewards are very attentive to me. I don't know if it's because I gave them both boxes of chocolates on our first day (unlike last cruise where I made chocolate alligators and flamingos for the crew, this time it was a lot easier to buy 2 for 1 Russell Stover boxes) that they are so good to me or because I only have the use of my left hand and they know things are difficult for me. So whenever they see me on the floor, they run to my cabin to unlock it and hold the door for me so I don't have to mess with my badge and door itself. After last night's show, I went back to my room to read and go to sleep. They saw me and opened my door for me. However, a while later, I got a second wind and decided to take a walk through the bars to see of any of my solo buddies were around. A couple hours later, I go back up to my deck to go to bed. As I get out of a full elevator and before the people can get on the elevator that are waiting - one of the cabin stewards sees me and hollers out "Miss Marcie, I already put you to be bed once tonight!" We all burst out laughing. I can only imagine what some of those folks were thinking and what the talk on the elevator was when the doors closed! :-) Hope you all had a great day! Hugs
