Very very fun game!
So after a fabulous day at Disney we woke up early at the Fairfield Inn and had a good breakfast. We couldn't move in until noon so we decided to check out the hotel's video game room. This was very cool. We got to play with an Xbox and Kinnect set up on a game called Kinnect Adventures. Gotta say if you already have an Xbox if I were you I would definitely get the Kinnect and get this game. It is tons of fun. Stephanie and I ended up playing for almost two hours!

After our game session it was time to check out and head back to Tampa, to check in at ** *****. But we decided to have lunch at Earl of Sandwich, because they really do make awesome food. After lunch we were on our way. At about 12:30 we made it to the apartment complex and sign all the paperwork. We were greeted in the lobby of the leasing office. We explained that we were moving in and that we needed the keys. The employee we spoke with was very nice and gave us our keys and a check in survey for us to use

while looking over things in the apartment.

We drove over to where our unit was and unlocked the door, and were immediately hit with the smell of wet dog. To me it was faint but distinct, to Stephanie who has a much keener sense of smell it was almost overpowering. Despite this we went through the rest of the apartment, finding it for the most part clean but with several areas that were very dirty. We found mildew in the shower tiles, dirt on the windows, a broken cabinet, an even worse rotten garbage smell in the bedroom closet, and some sort of animal feces in the covered porches storage closet.

I truly wish I had gotten pictures, but going through the apartment was just too shocking. Obviously we were both very unhappy and Stephanie called her travel nursing company and explained the situation. They were sympathetic, and said they would arrange a hotel for a few days while they sorted out the problem. So we went back to the office to turn the keys back in and to explain things to the employee we spoke with earlier. She was very upset and said that she would go

look through the apartment herself. We said we would wait and go through with her.

Going back in and showing her the problems, she tried to downplay them she said the smell was probably from the furniture, she didn't know about the garbage smell, and didn't say anything about the other problems. When we went over to the porch which is covered with a screen and looked in the closet, she said it was probably raccoon droppings. She said that they will break through the screens that their maintenance people had fixed the top screen, and as she said this the bottom screen fell in! At this point she said that she would have it all cleaned out and fixed up. We said okay, but we weren't willing to stay in it at all.

With assurances that on Monday things would be fixed we headed out to the hotel the company had arranged. And unfortunately the shocks were not over. This hotel was one of the worst I've ever seen. Again I wish I had gotten pictures but it was just too much to take in. Strange people staring and walking around for no apparent reason, filthy restroom,

and a bed that I'm pretty certain had bedbugs. At this point Stephanie was so upset that she was almost crying. We called the company one more time and asked if we could arrange our own hotel, and get some sort of reimbursement. They said that they would reimburse us. We looked at some coupons and found a Springhill Suites another Marriot affiliate in the book.

Now this place was worth getting some pictures of, they set us up in a very comfortable suite. So we ended our day a little differently than expected but hopefully everything will turn out and soon we will have the housing situation fixed.

Next up a day of Acclimation and MOSI!!
