Today we are at sea. Not set plans today except sunscreen!
I will say this again if I haven’t already, traveling with this group is so chill. Everyone kind of does their own thing. If we meet up, we meet up and if we don’t we will see you at dinner.
Jeff and I started our day around 8:30am. We decided to go to the restaurant for breakfast. When you eat in the restaurant for breakfast they sit you in a manner that I think is called family style. Meaning you get a chair at a table and you might be sitting with another guest.
We got to the restaurant and we did not know we needed to check in on our Carnival Hub app so we did that. We only waiting a couple of minutes and were seated. We were seated with a nice family. We had a couple of mimosas and enjoyed the company of of new friends.
On the way out we saw Cheryl, Brooke and Nicole. They went to the morning yoga class and really liked to. They had plans to do the morning stretch before Grand Cayman.
Jeff went back to
the room and I wandered around the boat. I found the boys had taken some boat pics and I found the ones the moms took the night before. That made for a good morning laugh.
I think I have the boat figured out but then found out that was a lie. I should really check my steps. I think one of the parents or kids estimated the boat was 4 miles long.
Nothing really exciting about the day. It was just your typical day at sea. We lounged in lawn chairs, the kids moseyed around, adults drank drinks, some took morning and afternoon naps.
The adults met at the Alchemy bar before dinner. It was formal night so lots of people were dressed up and meeting for cocktails before dinner. I would like to say the bar service has improved but that is not true. We get our drinks, finally and find a sitting place for everyone.
We get to our tables and the kids play switch-a-roo with the seating arrangements then everyone settles in for dinner. Our cuz Sydney (our waiter proclaimed himself our family now which ironically non of us are actually related) had
dinner timed just right. He picked out wines for us, had lots of bread and butter and we didn’t feel rushed ordering or eating dinner.
After dinner we took everyone up to our room and so they could see our room. Promise I will eventually post pictures. We hung out there for a little bit and then roamed around a little bit more.
We happened upon one of the shows and the ended the night visiting with some of the kids and eating pizza.
Jeff is still trying to bring the casino to their knees but it’s not working so well. I’m sure he will try again today.
It was a very relaxing day and it got everyone knee deep into vacation mode.
Today we are in Grand Cayman.
