On the Road Again
Willie Nelson's song was on the playlist as we headed out with The Schooner on our annual trip to warmer climes. We're towing a "toad" this year. Our jaunty little soft top jeep with a bike rack on the back is like The Dingy for The Schooner. Fairly good trip south - drive, drive, drive - I-95 all the way - morning rush hour traffic on beltways around Baltimore and Washington DC. Blowout near dusk in South Carolina. Good Sam (and South Carolina State Police officer) to the rescue. Reached St. Augustine 4ish on Wednesday. Decided to stay two nights at North Beach. Great seafood. Dinner on Wed. at The Reef on the ocean across A1A from the RV Park. Dinner Thurs. at Cap's two blocks up with a river view. The beauty of North Beach RV park is that is has both river and ocean access. It's beautiful - the landscaping is "natural." You can't see the neighboring rigs. Visited Anastasia State Park (lovely and great beach) and climed the amazing St. Augustine Lighthouse (something we didn't have time for on previous trips to St. Aug. Departed St. Aug. Friday morning and arrived Naples/ San Marco

and Silver Lakes RV Park 4:30ish. Saturday was a pool day topped off with wonderful seafood at Capri Fish House, a favorite on the Isle of Capri. Our favorite Rastafarian man (actually from Long Island), Fred, entertained. He told us about going to Woodstock. His dreadlocks are so long he can sit on them. We bought his album featuring a "Salsa Take 5." Heading for Sunday morning Farmer's Market in Naples today.

We have a water site with a palm tree and lovely view. It is in the 80's on Dec. 6. There is a nice breeze. We brought along a Christmas decoration.

Why leave Silver Lakes
Looked Great there at St. Augustine. I'd be tempted to settle right there for the winter. Here at home it's snow flurries, low 30's and high wind warning for this afternoon. Enjoy the sunshine, I'll try not to think aout you! Jean
