After 38 years as a Foreign Language Teacher and Foreign Language Dept. Chair at Coral Gables Sr. H.S., and A.J. Professor of German at the University of Miami, I have left Florida in June of 2006, where my home is in Miami Beach, Florida, USA. Ocean Drive #4

Ocean Drive straddles about 20 blocks of South Beach.

This is the home of the most famous former resident, Versace. The small palace is a tourist attraction and much photographed.

On these steps, Mr. Versace met his untimely death on these steps, as he was gunned down a young, former acquaintance one early morning. He had just returned from the breakfast, as his killer waited for him.

The entrace of the Wolfsonian Museum is on Washington Ave, only two blocks from Ocean Drive.

Art-Deco works greet the visitors to the Wolfsonian, a museum that should not be missed.

Lincoln Road Mall is the place to be seen.

A long stretch of road for pedestrians only, Lincoln Road is lined with the best of out-door dining and upscale shops. It is a great place for people watching and a special place to be seen.

Lincoln Road is a wonderful place to make new friends! And new friends come in all sizes.

Wade memorabilia can be purchased at a hefty price along in the many up-scale shops of Linconl Road. He is still one of the great heroes of Miami.

Lincoln road stretches along dozens of blocks and eventually leads to the white sands of the beach.

Sorry, I do not know his name. I only know that he is a famous National Football League player and attracted the attention of the media....

.... and I was flattered that he would also pose with me. It reminded me of the previous photo of the small and large dog. So you never know whom you might meet, and new friends do come in all sizes.

Restaurants line Lincoln Road on both sides, and the food is fresh and delicious. Foods of many countries are represented.

Miami Bay-Side is situated on the Bay along the city of Miami.

Tourist will shop and eat, be entertained and board ships for harbor cruises, or simply wait to see their favorite NBA team, of course the Miami Heat, play in the nearby American Airlines Arena.

Hi, hans,sorry for this late message.I was busy with an exam. I took the graduate entrance exam again and i have passed it.So i will study in Nanjing Southeast University in this coming september. If you come to Nanjing next time, maybe i will see you. Your city is so beautiful, especially the beach.Hope everything is well for you!

I can almost smell the ocean while browsing through the pictures, and the Fairchild Garden is so inviting. The plants grow naturally in the open air. Maybe, it's a botanical garden without needs of greenhouses.
