Rock Bar
Rock Bar on Wednesday NightWell everyone, we made it to Miami. Arrived here on Wednesday afternoon, dumped our bags in our room and hit the beach straight away. It didn't take us long though before we went on search for an Outback restaurant. It had actually changed location since the last time we were here, however we managed to find it - we had to walk about 10 blocks, but I think Boucs was willing to walk 10 miles!
We came back to our hostel (The Tropics, 1550 Collins Ave) and had a little nap, then 2 hours later decided to purchase a small bottle of Bacardi, which we licked in about an hour.
We ended up in a club called Rock Bar which is awesome. It's free to get in, but you have to go in with women, as they don't let guys go in by themselves. Wicked bar, but quite expensive - 2 Tiquela slammers was $26! It was Bouc's round anyway and he even gave them a tip because he's loaded!
Last night was day 2. We went to a quiet little bar called Free Spirits, where we met up with Gemma who we met in South of France last
month at my cousin Talat's wedding. She is actually best mates with my cousin's wife Sam. Gemma lives out here and works in this bar. Basically all the other local workers who work in other bars go here for after work drinks. Gemma introduced us to loads of people and wrote down all the best places to go, and told all these guys to let us in if we have problems at the door. She's a good girl! we done some wicked shots - Irish Car Bomb - Jamiesons and Baileys in a shot glass, then drop the shot glass into a quarter of a pint of Guiness, then down the fucker!
We also met Gemma's boyfriend Alex who is from Lima in Peru, so he also gave us some contacts of people who can look after us out there and also wrote a few places down for us.
Anyway, I think last night's hangover is starting to kick in, so gonna go and chilax by the pool. Peace out!
