Lots to do today! It's moving day. The Faber's leave the Celebration Hotel and move into their timeshare condo at Cypress Harbour. Tim & Conner leave the refuge of our RV and move into our timeshare condo at Cypress Harbour, also. Lulu hasn't figured out if she's coming or going yet. Cory & Jay helped Kim, Jim & the girls take their luggage to their condo. They had a sizeable amount of luggage to haul so rather than pack themselves into their car like sardines, they just ran a luggage load over for them.
Lory & Sara hung out with the rest of us at the RV. Conner has an app on his iPhone that switches faces of everyone so that was the mainstay of our waiting time. It was crazy, silly and lots of laughs. The guys brought lunch back to the RV from Chick Filet and Five Guys. They encountered very long, long lines at the Chick but there always is! That place is something else!
Around 2:00 PM, Cory and I took Tim & Conner over to the condo to check in. Lulu made sure she was with us because she doesn't want to miss a
thing! We made a pitstop at Publix enroute so Tim could get the foods he wanted. The Knapp's took advantage of this free time and went to Bass Pro & The Artegon.
The Faber's were already settled in their place and it didn't take long for Tim & Conner to settle in theirs. Tomorrow, hopefully, our other son, Cory and his 2 boys, Fox & Shenen, will arrive and they are staying in our condo with Tim & Conner. A real man's cave! Tim is very tidy & neat so I know they won't be living in grime, clutter or bats hanging from the ceilings. He models himself after Felix Unger. Cory is orderly, also, so they can't call themselves "The Odd Couple." Housekeeping won't have much to do once they leave. Both condo units are side by side which makes it convenient for the families to move back and forth. It will be one wild and busy week there.
Time to eat again.....if I get my seat belt around me by the time we leave Florida, it will be a miracle. We all left the condos and landed at Freddy's Steakburger Place. This is a new one
for all of us. Located at the Prime Outlet Mall plaza. It is much more than burgers. I got chili....very good. Tons of variations of soft ice cream desserts available, also.
Back to the condos and we tried to relax. The excitement of getting into the condos was high so a respite was not easy. It was fun being back in this timeshare resort again. It is a beautiful place. They are owned by Marriott and located close to Seaworld.
Weather has not been too cooperative since the families' arrival in Florida. Overcast skies and some bad, torrential rain storms with lightening and thunder. What can you do? Mother Nature rules! There has been some periods when the weather has lightened up and held back on the rains for awhile ..... We have yet to be blessed with hot, searing sunshine with no clouds on a continuing basis though. Hopefully, that is yet to come. Pleeeease Mother Nature!
Time to call it a day......Cory, Lulu and I headed home to Tropical Palms. The Knapp's had made it back to their condo. Lory & Jay came down to the RV for awhile. It's nice having them within a
At Freddy's
Jim, Kim, Me, Cory short walking distance of us. Jay was in contact with Jim to arrange a golf outing for themselves and Cory tomorrow. They said their good-nights and started up our roadway. They were forced to race back upon hearing my frantic screams for help! I had stepped outside when they left...it was a muggy night. The rains had made dampness and puddles all around. I started back in the RV and froze. Sitting on the top step area inside our RV was a humungous frog. I was sure it was fake and that Lory & Jay had placed it there as a scary joke on Cory and myself. It looked so life-like, though! Cory will face a raging lion, a venomous snake, a cave of bats, a rabid raccoon, 18 webs of spiders.....but he does not like frogs/toads at all! He is repulsed and repelled by them. As I studied this large, green, stationary amphibian, it's head turned! Yikes. EEeeek! HELP...I bellowed! Help, Help, Help! I'm sure you all heard me, right? I am not fond of this big, buggy eyed creatures either.
When I was young and growing up, my neighborhood chums and I would catch the teeny, tiny,
little toads and make them live in a dirt village that we would make for them. Boy, what fun that was. But I am not thrilled with the larger toads and never did like the real frogs.
So, here I was: face to face with Freddy the Frightful Frog. Yew! Cory came running....thinking I had fallen or something. I screamed for him to get back, knowing he wouldn't want this confrontation with Freddy. Too late, Freddy jumped into our living room area. Cory saw it. His eyes became the size of manhole covers. Cory grabbed our floor rug and began beating and beating it on the frog. I screamed for him to stop cause I didn't want frog guts all over the RV. At this point, Lory & Jay had charged back to the RV. Help, Help Us! There is a monster frog inside and we have to get it out. There would be no way we could ever continue to live in our RV and share it with this slimy reptile. Lulu had sought refuge in our bedroom under the covers. No help, whatsoever. Freddy was no where to be found. OMG! What will we do? Call in
Kim
Outside our timeshare condos the exterminators? Lory & Jay crawled around our floor, looking under the chairs and sofa. Flashlights in hand. Nothing! Rats! We are in big trouble. Burn the RV or what? Suddenly, Lory lifts up a small stool I use as a table.....Yowhee ......there was Freddy! It's bulbous claws clinging tightly around one of the legs. Yucky! Cory watches from afar as Lory runs this makeshift, metal and plastic tree outside with Freddy attached to it like snot. "Go, Lory...go far away" shouts her father. She stumbles through the darkness across the roadways of our park and finds a tree to deposit this threatening, ugly creature. She has to pry it off with a large stick. Finally, the job is down. She returns our frog-handled stool. Leave it outside....we'll deal with the sterilization of it tomorrow. Our deepest gratitude is bestowed upon our two Saviors. A true miracle that Lory found this nasty critter cowering under my precious stool table. We are exhausted. Fright and fear has drained us. We have to go to bed to restore our normal status. Lulu crawls back to her look-out shelf. She has been shaken. She needs recovery also. At least, we can sleep comfortably
At Condo
Jim, Conner, Haley (friend),
Tim, Kim, Haley and soundly knowing we would not be covered with frog eggs by morning. Eeewwww. Take a deep breath......relax. We have survived another tragic event while here in paradise. Life can go on.
