Sam's Reward....our pay-upSam's Reward....our pay-upSam's Reward....our pay-up

Biggest Hot Fudge Sundae
A brief reprieve for you while we plan some new events for you. The first item on the agenda is absolutely delicious. Mega calories but yummy, yummy, yummy. Sam & Cory have become major gambling betters. All centered around football games. First, they draw a card to see who gets to pick what team he wants. Then, they wager on what they want the other person to do for whomever wins the game. This is the scenario of the betting. Sam: 1 Win; Cory: 3 Wins.....na, na, na-na! Sam even took the Patriots! We were the first to pay up. We had to pay our dues graciously. Sam and Sandy won a hot fudge sundae from us. We went to Friendly's. Sam ordered the biggest sundae they had with extra hot fudge on the side. And he ate the whole thing! You weren't feeling sorry for him, were you? Don't. He gleefully made the most of his winning. But, now our turn"s" are here. Yippee. Sam and Sandy have to treat us to: the coca-cola cake at Cracker Barrel, a pizza from Flippers and tickets to a movie of our choice! Decisions, Decisions. But we are looking forward to that dilemma

plus the other tasty treats. Of course, the next big bet will be on the Super Bowl. We lost last year so our fingers are crossed...but time will tell. If only Lulu had fingers. They would be crossed, too. A downfall of not having arms. Of course, you will join us on whatever the pay-back will be.....I just know it will be a " big-time" wager. Quietly, I am whispering into the air: "let us win, please....let us win." Remember, last year? Cory and I had to be a limousine service and escort Mr. & Mrs. Sam Foreman into the Cheesecake Factory so they could order anything and everything they wanted from the menu. Again, Sam topped it off with a hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge. We had to stop the paparazzi and the pubic from disturbing them. It was a taxing ordeal but we accomplished our pay-back debt. Update, everyone! Tonight (26th), Sam & Sandy provided us with one pay-up. They took us to Flippers for pizza. It was right tasty! We walked up and back, strolling through Old Town - enjoying window shopping and each other's company. Back at our RV, we topped off the perfect evening with a hot fudge sundaes....with extra hot fudge for Sam.

Today (26th) was departure day for my cousin, Paul & Clare. We were sad to see them go. They are very easy to be around plus stay with us in our RV. They flew out of Orlando back to Abootsford, British Columbia. Following their initial visit last week to this Sunday (24th), they traveled all around the coasts of Florida. They had their spiffy, red, 2016 rental Corvette convertible to carry them in the uppermost class. Mr. & Mrs. Got-Rocks. They started at Daytona Beach, through Cape Canaveral and on down to the very end of the Keys. Across Alligator Alley and up the Gulf coast and finally back to Tropical Palms (24th). I wish you could have met them. They are fun people. I have only two relatives on my side of my extended family: Paul and my other cousin, Mary Ellen, who lives in N.C. They are special to me. Paul could be the brother I never had.

When they arrived on Sunday, they insisted on taking us out to dinner. We decided on Manny's cause it has great atmosphere and always perfect and delicious

food. HAH! Surprise! Not this time! It was terrible. Wouldn't you just know! How could it be? We were so embarrassed and shocked. It started out okay....a wait but we killed time at the bar. Once seated, we quickly ordered their special of the day: their yummy sirloin steak. Forget it people our demonstrative waitress said...out of the special. Okay, we ordered up to the next steak. I usually have a few, minor additional requests. They went unattended until I waved and honked the waitress down several times. Not a big deal....minor. Just suck it up! Cory ALWAYS orders his steal well-done: NO PINK! Gotcha says Miss Know It All Waitress. Our meal was served. Looking okay until Cory cuts his steak.....RED rose, blood color! No way will this ever come close to his lips. "Tolerating Theresa" hauls it back to the kitchen. "We'll fix that up," she shouts. Paul and I dove into our meals while polite and thoughtful Clare waited with Cory has they cooked his steak again. Over an hour passed and Cory continued to look at his blank placemat and Clare ignored her dinner which was now frigid cold. Caught Madame Waitress as she kept flying

Piloting the deck
past our table as if on a broomstick. She agreed.....said she was mad, too, and had hollered both at the floor manager and the owner. Soon, a small, slight, pale, pathetic man came to our table to hear our verbalization. He was the floor manager and spoke the entire time with his eyes closed. Obviously, trying to shut out the confrontation. Cory wouldn't let me express my thoughts. He was trying to be more reasonable as he spoke and Clare expelled pure understanding and kindness. It was like I had shoved a sock in my mouth. A confined and muzzled rabid animal. Disgusted with the entire set of events, I demanded that the owner of the restaurant come to our table. The second steak arrived, plunked down in front of our starving man. Another cut in to the brown-on-the-outside slab......yikes! Just like the first steak! Red rose blood on the inside. This is unreal and absolutely revolting. Just for the record.....we have been to Manny's many times. Always their meals are great. Always the steaks are cooked exactly as you order them. BUT not this time. Finally, the owner comes to our table and kneels down to speak with Cory.

Paul wanted this boat
Probably praying they we just leave! Obviously, he's been forewarned to ignore me. He apologized over and over and over. Cory finally spoke quite directly to him about the status of his meal. By now, I am like a released wild animal ready to claw and bite all these people. Outnumbered, I have to mum my mouth....but only after getting some of my unpleasant thoughts spoken. They offered to bring Cory anything else he wanted....nope, now he's too upset that he wants nothing more except his manhattans. Clare finally, and graciously, eats her frozen dinner. Cory drinks his 3rd manhattan with hungry eyes and a growling stomach. He was weak from starvation. The frail, floor manager informed us that we were not being charged for any of our meals....like we would have paid for it in a pigs whistle anyway. Just as we were crawling out of our booth, the owner brought over another thin steak cover with some dark brown sauce. Forget it, bucko....we don't want anymore of this place and food. Clare asked for some take home boxes because we now had 3 uneaten steaks on the table. She planned to make steak sandwiches for she and Paul

The suitcase was Paul's favorite
for their airplane trip home. There was enough to serve the entire plane full of passengers. Even though our dinner was a vile mess, it was still wonderful being with the two of them. Through thick and thin .......we just had to chalk it up and suck it up. It was not easy, though.

The next day (Monday), Cory, Paul & Sam went to Home Depot and Harbor Freight. Not as good as expected as Sam was the only one who bought just one item. Just like they were all sick. After returning, Cory and I took Paul & Clare to Disney Springs. Paul drove me in the 'vette. He's an excellent driver but there were a couple times I clutched and clamped tightly to the sides around me and put my foot through the brakeless floor. We parked in the new parking garage which is great. We were starved so headed quickly off towards the Earl of Sandwich. Made a few stops on the way to check out some of the shops and restaurants. What a fun place this is. Eventually, we got to the Earl so I could get my favorite tuna melt. The rest got what

Two of a kind
they liked but mine was the best! We went to Ghirardelli's for the free candy sample. The ice cream menu was way to enticing so we got two hot fudge sundaes to share. Ooooo, so good! We finished out the first lap of Disney Springs and made our way back to where we began. Musical entertainers provided us with foot tapping tunes along the trail back. We saw the Irish pub and decided we needed a "pop". I got an Irish coffee while the rest of our gang each drank a dark beer. We were serenaded by a quartet of Irish singers followed by some high stepping Irish dancers. Excellent! Back into the large, moving crowd, we made out way through the rest of Disney Springs and back to our cars. Paul wanted me to experience the thrill of the ride but my screams kept him to a more reasonable pace. We were back at the RV before I knew it. Yowl & Howl!

So now we are back full circle to departure day. With engineering skills and genius, they were able to tightly pack their bags and get them squished into the car. A miracle it was...a real

miracle. I think when people own these expensive cars with very limited storage space, it is assumed they don't carry much. Must go out everyday and buy what they would wear for that day and throw it away at the end. Good bye, family - have safe travels. So, now, it just us again. It's too quiet. Start kicking up your heels and do a happy dance. We have many more places to go and things to do and see. Lulu would be right with you if she had legs. She's just going to whistle a happy tune. ????
