We left Charlotte early in the morning, ready to a 11 hours trip (720 miles). But thunderstorms and the not so brilliant idea of detour from I-95 to the scenic A1A (which wasn’t scenic at all) made our trip became 13 hours.
Here are two pictures from Fernandina Beach, at the extreme northeast of Florida. As you can see, they allow cars at the beach, but just on designated areas.
