Well today started with some rubbish weather, typically english, drizzly rain and cloud. Apparently the really nice weather finished the day we arrived!! So we decided today was a day for more museums, being as Washington itself seems to be one big advert and archive for everything american.

We went to the air and space museum, which was good, well i say good i mean average, well i say average i mean dull. No in all honesty Nath enjoyed it and so did I for about an hour and then I went to the gift shop. We had plans to go to 2 other museums but that never happened as the air and space one took so long, so its an early start tmr to try and get some more done. After having a nice relaxed start we are now rushing to fit everything in.

Met up with the guys from our first outing and some others on a jazz tour evening which was really nice. First time we have seen any kind of community or life here in DC. Spent most of the time laughing about all things american being that all but 2 of the company were from somewhere in the UK. The lads we had met previously (who were on a budget) were due to leave this evening on a long long grey hound bus and were really looking forward to thier pizza's back at the hostel. We joked about how upset they woudl be if they had been stolen, and obviously someone was listening as when we got back we found they had indeed been taken!!! our plan to start buying some food to make meals with has now been dashed.

On the way back from the jazz concert, we came upone some political march about the new health insurance being set up in the US. Lots of unhappy (mainly old texans) people with banners and singing. Aagin it was nice to actually see something going on but then I guess it is friday now so maybe DC is only any fun during the weekend.

We will try and put some photos on tmr....promise....
love us

Still annoyed about the Pizzas....
As one of the mentioned 'guys on a budget' I am still morning those Pizzas!! Glad to see uv found and liked the blog, ill take the credit for its beauty and sophistication (this is stu btw). Laptop is still providing us with hours of entertainment and internet browsing at our own leisure! Asheville has been awesome, seems much more like proper america. found a good website for renting cars in san fran etc (thanks to the laptop) try 'super cheap car rental' (does what is says on the tin) they only operate on west coast so might be a good starting point although as u are 'slightly older' than us another company may be cheaper. hehe. anyway hope ur enjoying ur travels still.
