After having early breakfast in DC we made it to the airport going pass the Pentagon (woohoo got a photo) and boarded plane to Denver via Detroit (the routes are probably one of the most confusing things - it is like us going from Sydney to Melbourne via Brisbane) - good flights we land in Denver and my God the mountains are awesome and have snow on top.
The weather is unseasonally warm mid 20s but the snow is coming. We haven't planned much except the car is due back of the 17th - will bring an update tomorrow from some other state (possibly)
