I am excited to report the trip to Nepal in March 2007 is on! Along with 3 colleagues, I will fly from Denver to Bangkok on Monday, March 12th and then on to Kathmandu. We will return to Denver on Saturday, March 24th.

Making flight reservations to Asia for the first time, I am trying to determine if it will be less expensive if I book the Bangkok/Kathmandu leg once we get to Bangkok. Please send me a message if you have any thoughts on the likelihood of successfully getting to Kathmandu if I book 12 hours before the flight from the Bangkok airport.

During our trip, we will be traveling via auto from Kathmandu to some villages along the southern border about 7 hours away. We will be working alongside current volunteers in the area for NGO Filters for Families as well as doing our own research projects.

Safe and fulfilling travels!

book the flight!
of course this from a woman who once walked up to the Range's Station on the south rim looking for any into-the-canyon pass for backpacking and happened to be in line behind someone who had to cancel because of a broken leg and just by chance I could mnage their trail commitment - but unless you are looking for the total karmic experience, book the flight and don't leave it to chance. it'll ease the mind and leave you only to worry about things that will not be working as well as hoped for when you get to that juncture. mom
