Day 4 006
Arrived in Colorado It was a fiarly uneventful trip from Wakeeney to Co Springs, we attached a couple pictures to give you an idea of our view, and what a view...like the song says "we could see for miles and miles". The down side is, guess you could say there wasn't much to see in those miles. Going into Colorado our the Rig dropped from 8.5 MPG to 8.4, not too bad considering we went from about 300 feet to about 6000. It was another windy day, but sunny with barely a cloud in the sky. Finally we made it to our first destination the AF Academy, and early...only 1400. The down side is the Academy closed the road we needed to travel on to get the FamCamp, for a bike race, and did not plan to reopen it until 1730. We parked the rig in the football stadium parking lot and called the FamCamp, more good news they would be open for registration until 2000. So we disconnected the car and headed to see some sights...first on the list The Garden of the Gods, then on to Seven Falls pictures attached. Garden of gods was packed w/ folks, but beautiful. Then it was
on the 7 Falls, put it in my GPS and off we go...on the way we hit the worst traffic caused by a mistimmed light...but we could see our turn about a 100 yards away on the right. Ever impatient MiHyon tells me just drive up the shoulder afterall it's only little ways...so I did and was immediately joined by the local traffic cop and for some reason he wanted to talk w/ me. I pulled into the next exit, but at least made it through the light! I explained my GPS problems to the cop, and how it had routed me the long way. He asked, "Did it also told you to drive on the shoulder" and I told him no my wife did! He said I should give her the ticket then. Luckily he saw my Mil retired card and let me off w/ a warning. We arrived back at the academy at about 1830 and drove up the the gate, I asked the guard if the road was reopened and he said it was, but there is a problem, the bridge we travelled across when we arrived earlier was no longer stable enough for cars...I bet we
Day 4 013
Potty break for Maggie! broke it driving across it with all the groceries in the RV, Mi Hyon packed! Well after another short detour we had a geat dinner and set out to find the Shoppette to add to our food tonage! Once that was done Mi Hyon spotted a car wash, she thought it would be a good idea to be able to see out the windows, a few thousand miles of road dirt and diesel dust made the white car grey and the windows black. We both got kind of car sick in the car wash, it was strange. Must be time for bed. End of day 4.

Hey you 2!
We are all enjoying your vacation! Of course Mike you are the butt of jokes as the dog is always walking you instead of Mimi! Glad you guys are having fun and that all is well. I got sick 5 minutes after I got off the plane in CS but it didn't last long. Just take it slow as all 3 of you will be sleepy for a few days. Have fun! Stay safe and keep the pictures coming!
