We went to one of my favourite places today. Garden of the Gods (in Colorado Springs) is a public park, which is popular with climbers, due to the huge red rock formations. I love it, as it is beautiful and peaceful.

We went for a walk round the park (looking out for rattle snakes, which we all wanted to see) and then Jon took us to Manitou Springs in El Paso County (a small native American town at the base of Pikes Peak). It is a lovely town - heaped in history. It feels like you have stepped back in time as you wander around.

It is also quite hippy. We passed a group of people sitting on benches, just looking at each other, silently. A sign said they were 'existing' in silence with one another, and communicating through eye contact.

This reminded me of An Idiot Abroad, when Karl goes to a cuddle party...

People arereall friendly in this town - a waiter in a cafe kept coming over to speak to us after taking our drinks order - he was really intrested in our trip and an old man in a souvenir shop got into a lengthy discussion with Faye about London (while speaking in a terrible, fake cockney accent) but people in general want to speak to us when thy hear our 'funny'accents.

We then went to Castle Rock outlet mall, where we all spent more money than expected on things we didnt really need.

We ate at Little India, which is the most amazing curry house in Denver. I could eat there every day. It ois quit pricey but so worth it.

Feeling bloated, we all watched a movie at Jon's.
