Last night when we returned to our room from dinner we had a letter from Carnival waiting for us with some surprising news. We are currently on a 3-night cruise to nowhere that stops in Los Angeles tomorrow morning. Mostly everyone will disembark the ship in the morning and this 3-day cruise will be over. Hubby and I are doing a back-to-back cruise and so we will stay on the ship and start the next cruise with a new group of passengers. Our next cruise is a 9-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera with stops in Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Manzanillo Mexico. The letter in our mailbox from Carnival tonight stated that the reason our ship has been rocking & rolling is because there is a Hurricane Hillary in the Pacific Ocean. That being said, they are changing our itinerary for the Mexican Riviera cruise (again). Our new (tentative) itinerary is...

Friday Sept 23rd – switchover day in Los Angeles/old passengers leave/new passengers board Saturday Sept 24th – stop in Ensenada, Mexico Sunday Sept 25th – Day at Sea Monday Sept 26th – Day at Sea Tuesday Sept 27th – Manzanillo, Mexico Wednesday Sept 28th – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Thursday Sept 29th – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Friday Sept 30th – Day at Sea Saturday Oct 1st – Day at SeaSunday Oct 2nd – Cruise ends/debark in Los Angeles

Basically, we are going to Ensenada straight away instead of on the last day of the cruise, as previously planned, and we are losing an entire day in Cabo San Lucas. I am a bit bummed about the day we are losing in Cabo San Lucas. Well, hubby and I are lucky that neither of us gets sea sick. I am looking forward to getting off the ship and having a little fun in Mexico!!

Today the boat landed in San Pedro, California. It was cool in San Pedro today and overcast. We like cool and overcast so it was nice weather to us.
