Woke up in Monterey, got a coffee and went out on the beach before we set off at about 10.00am

This is by far our longest day. We got on to the Highway 1 to drive all the way the through, hit all the landmarks.
We didn't have accommodation booked for the night, so we thought we would just see where we ended up.

We Firstly Pebble beach, where Baron was excited to see the golf course. The beach was beautiful. Then we carried on and hound the famous tree the lone cypress. The drive had loads of turns and at times really high up. The photos don't do it justice. We stopped off at loads of places on the way just to have a look at the views or the beaches.

We then came across Bixby Bridge, which had great views, and then we headed towards Big Sur where we had a great lunch at Nepenthe at about 12.30.

We stopped off at Morro Bay. Huge beach.

We decided to stop in Santa Barbara at about 5.30pm , where we accidentally found the beach Arroyo Burro Beach. There was a beautiful restaurant called the boathouse, where we had dinner. Baron had steak. I had halibut. We spent a bit of time at the bar, very chilled out. And then at 8.30pm we thought we should find somewhere to stay for the night. Santa Barbara is ridiculously expensive, we couldn't find anywhere less than $300 by 9.30pm we decided to drive on further and found a beach area called San Buenaventura. We found a Marriott, $200. Cheers. (There were motels, but Baroit couldn't face that!) goodnight!
