Went to a really nice quiet restaurant for breakfast, had eggs, crispy bacon & real toast fro a change.......now this breakfast was delicious. Walked down to catch the trolley cart to Pier 43, got off & then caught a bus up to Lombard Street. We were going to see the most Crockiest Street in the World. To get up the hill we had to walk & yes the hill was very steep. It felt like 90 degress, tough going, my calves & thighs were burning by the time we got to the top. What a quirky little street, windy & crooked for around 50 metres long, it was very steep & beautiful with green hedges & lovely flowers in full bloom, very pretty. Got to the bottom of the hill & this was terrific, had a much better view of the street as you look up to it. Took lots of photos here, now it was time to walk down the hill. This part was easy, just eased our way down. Managed to catch a Cable Car & yes the driver told me to get right up the front & hang off the rail. Well this was scary, the street was
so steep you felt like you were falling off a cliff. It got even scary when the driver frightened me by pushing my shoulder & saying "dont fall off", he was only teasing, well this experience was exhilarating. Got back to Geary Street & now it was time to shop. Went into Victoria Secert's store & brought some very beautiful items, then more presents for the girls. Walked back to Diva & had a rest before heading back out with a night out with Jase. I am so ready for a well deserved rest in Honolulu. But first Jase & I went to dinner at another Irsih Pub called "Foleys". Had a really bad meal so didnt pay, went without dinner tonight. After our so called meal, we headed back up to "Lefty's", we were meeting three Irish Girls, Becc & I had met from last night. Sat at the piano & met a couple from England, Katie & Jason, so got talking with them about their travels. At the keyboard was a crack up Karoke singer who took the piss out of everyone, especially "Mishell" as he pronounced it. Jase & I had 2 more beers then left &
took our new found English buddies with us. Geo the pianoist from last night was playing "Mad Piano's" back at Foleys so off we went to hear great music & fantastic musicians. Went down the stairs to a piano bar with two pianos set up side by side. The two men were having a piano off, who could out play the other. Jase & I danced, danced, danced & danced, this was another amazing experience where I will never forget. We met another Aussie & his friend, we all sat together & listened to the awesome music. I requested ABBA, so Geo knew me from last night, played an ABBA song for me, while I sat up on stage with him. He was the better out of the two, just outstanding. What a night, Jase hit the skids & I was still very much in gear but we compromised & I finished his beer & then we went to get pizzas. Arrived at our hotel around 1.00am, sat & ate pizza & talked to Becc about our night out in San Fran. Off to Honolulu tomorrow, needed to get a few hours of sleep.......Good night.....
