As our couch surfing host cancelled on us at the last minute we had to make our way to ocean beach. This was possibly one of the most strictest hostels we've stayed but at least it was cheap with free internet.

Ocean Beach has quite a hippy feel to the place and kinda reminds me of St Kilda in Melbourne, a little rough round the edges but quirky.

For the first day we headed to the botanical gardens which are said to be the largest in America... very nice scenery but far too many overpriced dull museums. Not really our scene... And of course no trip to San Diego would be complete without a trip to sea world.
