Such as visiting the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, AND arriving in Los Angeles!
Chrissy and I made it safely to our final destination, Westwood, CA! We got in around 4:45 this afternoon, but not before having many adventures!
On Thursday, we entered the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park and drove down a scenic road to various lookouts where we photographed the amazing Canyon. At one scenic stop, an Asian couple asked us to take their picture and afterward, the girl nearly got into Chrissy's car thinking it was her own (and Chrissy almost walked to their car as well) and giggling ensued - it was comical but mayhaps you had to be there. We also made one quick stop to the Tusayan Ruins, but the snow masked its essence. (Let me also ad that the port-a-potties here were also in ruins). Unfortunately, we didn't spend much time there, but we managed to stop at the souvenir shop and ate at the Wendy's, which was a cool stone-looking building. Also, as we trekked back down creepy Highway 64 to reach I-40 and realized that there was a tremendous mountainous view!
Talking about amazing views, I think that Chrissy and I agreed that Highway 93 was our favorite scenic part of the drive. We also realized that we were going to be driving through the Hoover Dam. After we went through a security check-point, we went down the windiest cowpath I've ever seen through the Dam where we pulled over to capture some snaps. (Let me also add that the port-a-potties here were in far worse condition that the ones in ruins at the Grand Canyon...I bet Chrissy and I both used an entire bottle of hand sanitizer after that one). What a nice surprise of a tourist attraction that we hadn't planned!
Soon after the Hoover Dam, we saw the city lights of Fabulous Las Vegas. We arrived at Chrissy's cousin's (Lindy) right around dinner time. We had an awesome Teriyaki Chicken Dinner followed by a cocktail at a local bar, Outside Inn with Lindy and her mom Becky. It was a cozy little Pub with awesome fireplaces and fish hanging from the ceiling. Afterward, they drove Chrissy and I down the Las Vegas strip and provided an excellent car tour of all the major attractions! This morning, Lindy made Chrissy and I eggs and sausage - she's such a great cook and I love how she decorated her lovely apartment! Fun times!
Then, Chrissy and I were on our way to Los Angeles after a failed trip to Verizon to fix my phone and hunt for a few souvenirs. I did manage to lose $1 in quarters that my mom gave me to play for us in a gas station slot machine.
The drive into LA was traffic-y, although not completely horrible as Chrissy and I managed to stay together for the most part. I think the GPS took us onto every major freeway around the city, too. Now, we're resting comfortably at our Guesthouse room after grabbing a quick dinner at Jersey Mikes.
Tomorrow, we plan to drive and locate Chrissy's workplace, explore Westwood, and create a listing of apartments to look at this week. Let the good times begin!!!

Still thinking about my socks...
Were there other entries that had many pages of photos? Also, I'm not sure about those ruins. Also, I thought you didn't get to see the strip at all. Plus, good job with the dam and the asians. Why is Stefanie wearing my socks? How did that even happen?
