Turns out Colby, a good friend of mine, was getting married and wanted me to be in the wedding. Couldn't say no to that and caught a flight home for the nuptuals. Flying home is always a joy. I got a seat in the middle section of the plane on the aisle. I was elated to find no one had got on the plane with a ticket sitting next to me. I had the aisle on my right and an empty seat on my left with a couple at the other end of my row. Plenty of space for myself. Started watching a movie and a couple of hours later I was ready for a nap. Dipped my hat over my eyes and took a deep breath as I started to drift off. I was awakened ... read more

Ok ok i know its a little late, but man we have both been so busy! Loni is actually in Washington D.C. with her family for a reunion. As for me, I've been running around trying to get all of my paper work in order for my nursing program that is going to start in the fall. For our last day on the tour we had a very busy day in amsterdam. We woke up very early that morning to go to a diamond factory. We were able to see three perfect diamonds. Not many people are fortunate enough to see PERFECT diamonds. After the diamond factory we took a canal bike cruise. it was actually quite comical, we couldnt figure out where to go for the life of us. It took us an hour and ... read more

Ok so we are offically going to EUROPE! After about two months of planning we are finally heading off to the many countries of Europe!!! Lets start off by telling the story from the beginning... First off was finding the perfect date for us to go. As you know we are finishing up our 3rd year at CSULB and we want to travel before all the schools finish. So it was either having loni move her finals up about a week or start a week later. Wellll.... we offically planned on leaving the week after finals. Once the date was established, we had another MAJOR disaster... THE FLIGHT! Both of our parents had free airline miles through American Airlines. So, the logical thing was to use those miles to get a free flight to Europe. ... read more

Driving the Pacific Coast Highway 7-8/11/05 We drove to Monterey and spent the afternoon prodding fishes at the aquarium. They had a decorator crab which was decorated with Hallowe'en coloured wool (orange and black, supplied by the aquarium staff). In a couple of weeks, they said they were going to change the wool to red and green for Christmas. Penguins! Sea Otters! The aquarium had them all, some on an exchange visit from New Orleans while their home is being rebuilt. There was also a deep sea display with enormous Tuna and Sunfish (which look plain weird, they seem to only have a front half). We tried to get a sandwich at a cafe, but the very aged dahhhling who served us had no veggie sandwiches, so I had a bottle of OJ and Vernon's crisps. ... read more

02-03/10/05 Eight wheels to Long Beach We headed south out of Bishop on the 395 and drove to Ridgecrest, where Carol, Rita and Mikayla were staying after a family wedding. We met quite a few of Rita's relatives and spent an hour or so chatting about our trip and the crash before we kidnapped Carol and made her navigate us to Long Beach. We spent the evening talking over news, old and new, and generally putting the world to rights. Carol and I did our degrees together in Portsmouth, England and Carol pointed out that it was probably twenty years ago to the day that we first met - LAWKS!! The next day we both slept late before finding space in the garage for the bikes. Later we headed to the Long Beach Aquarium to ooh ... read more

Between the sales rep and I, we purchased twelve (12) tickets to the LB Gran Prix to entertain customers. Our seats were in the Grand Stand area, right by the finish line. This was my first time to a Gran Prix race. I brought my digital video camera, my digital camera, binoculars, sun block, but I forgot to take some darn ear plugs! Once the race started, the roar of the cars was unbearably high....... read more

How do you prepare for a 94 day cruise? Summer in the South Pacific & winter in Asia, luckily for us, the ship has no limitations on luggage. We leave from Los Angeles and return to Los Angeles, so no flights to hassle with. Three months of advance bill paying and prescriptions. Say, did we turn off the water in the desert? Oh my goodness! We kick off our adventure January 9th with a Bon Voyage party and an overnight stay at the St. Regis in Century City. (Right next door to my old office building…small world…I’ll be thinking of you…nah!) Then on Saturday we embark to get a look at our new home until April 13th, the Radisson Seven Seas Voyager, which we get to show to Linda’s sister and brother-in-law. After a small visit, ... read more
