COVID travelers
Mask required the whole flight...and the flight attendants reminded us On our way to the island of Maui! In order to travel to Hawaii we all had to get COVID tests 72 hours before leaving and register our results on a travel Hawaii website.
We were picked up first at 5:30am by David's driver Neftali in his Suburban, which was just big enough to fit the 7 of us (Our family and Jerry and Nancy) and our 3 suitcases, 5 backpacks, carry-on beach bag, stroller, and a carseat. A quick stop at McDonald's for breakfast before stopping by Jerry's house and we were off to the airport! Checkin went fine but we struggled to get special wristbands for when we landed in Hawaii, but that ended up being quick so it was not a big deal. Nancy was nice enough to pack PB&J sandwiches, goldfish, and apples to feed

The kids goofed around on the grass by the beach as we waited for our table at Monkeypod Kitchen. The restaurant ended up being a perfect stop as the kids scarfed down some tasty saimin noodles, cheese pizza, butter pasta, and french fries. Steve and Tory also shared a delicious cheeseburger and fish and chips before heading to the resort to check-in. The kids found the luggage carts at the entrance and couldn't help climbing around on them, with Steve's bad influential encouraging. Much to the kids excitement of being at a new place, they were filled with energy as we settled into the room with all of our stuff. At that point we felt pretty hot and tired, so we decided to get our swimsuits on and go swimming at one of the pools. The kids were amazingly filled with energy still but we
