The South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Day 1

We were smart enough to NOT eat breakfast at the Hualapai and hit the road early for the Grand Canyon. We stayed at the Maswik Lodge with no air conditioning, which is as much "roughing it" as any of us were willing to endure. We hiked along the rim for about 2 miles. Nancy and Julie are not enjoying the lack of fences along the rim. We had dinner at El Tovar which was fabulous and enjoyed the sunset. We got a glimpse of more stars than we've ever seen before on the walk back to the lodge.

FINALLY
Finally, a picture of the Pashleys! I was beginning to wonder if the Pashley family chose the air-conditioned cafes over the beautiful sites. Glad you are having fun!
