Left Phoenix Dec 26 after celebrating Christmas with Family and friends. The weather was not hot but the Sun was shinning and the warm feeling of a trip all the way to Belize ahead made you excited and relaxed after an intense trip from British Columbia fighting the storms.Left phoenix heading Texas way, cutting the corner of New Mexico, entering the sign said WELCOME TO TEXAS DRIVE FRIENDLY THE TEXAS WAY. Made it to Mahans sand hills state Park............all sand like the Emerites. Carried on down the road of Texas Dessert making to the Old German town of Freduricksburg. Warm and humid here today loving the warmth. Heading to Austin today passed through the lovely town Johnson named after Lyndon Johnson. We love hearing from everyone and especially thank the folks in Casa Grande for sending greetings this winter. We are sorry we could not join up with you but are looking forward to next winter. Not to bore you with "old peoples maladies," but wanting to update everyone with well wishes, Tom's breathing problem has been given a preliminary diagnosis of interstitial lung disease. There is no known reason (casual) for this disease, and no cure. He started home oxygen a few days ago. After a few more tests and more appointments with the lung doctor, we are hoping to put this behind us. So, we are STILL in El Mirage, AZ. And I am STILL forced to play pickleball weekly! (HA!) Just a short blog to wish all of our friends and family and anyone else reading, a very Merry Christmas and Happy 2014! We will miss meeting up with RV friends headed to Casa Grande. Unfortunately, Tom has had some health setbacks and we must stay close to doctors this winter. Not to worry...once his doctor gets him fixed up and he gets over some nasty pneumonia that is dragging him down, he will be back in the saddle again, I mean the driver's seat! Meanwhile, we are in Pueblo El Mirage RV & Golf Resort, in El Mirage, AZ (outside of Sun City, and Goodyear, AZ.) The fly-boys from Luke Air Force Base are constantly training overhead.
