Long journey Lots of napsLeft Phoenix Dec 26 after celebrating Christmas with Family and friends. The weather was not hot but the Sun was shinning and the warm feeling of a trip all the way to Belize ahead made you excited and relaxed after an intense trip from British Columbia fighting the storms.Left phoenix heading Texas way, cutting the corner of New Mexico, entering the sign said WELCOME TO TEXAS DRIVE FRIENDLY THE TEXAS WAY. Made it to Mahans sand hills state Park............all sand like the Emerites. Carried on down the road of Texas Dessert making to the Old German town of Freduricksburg. Warm and humid here today loving the warmth. Heading to Austin today passed through the lovely town Johnson named after Lyndon Johnson. Took a walk on the old trail next to his Parental Grandparents home used to move the livestock to Kansas. Very High winds today but beautiful Clear skies. Moving down the highway heading into the ever so growing Austin....unbelievable growth over passes every where, when we come across the sign DON,T MESS WITH TEXAS. Holidays not a camp site to be found We have settled in the ever so obliging Cabela's parking lot with numerous RV,s and Semis on the

the whole town lit up outskirts called BUDA. Moved onto Wal Mart parking lot New Braunfels , a real camping spot with many from all over the States. Nice and quiet here. Visited Bu-cee's , never seen such a big gas station over 60 bays for fuel and a huge store. Went to the old town and visited many antique store. Great weather and its NEW YEARS EVE. early morning heading to the old town Gruene, a lot of Antiques and beautiful sites. Arrived Late this afternoon Casa Blanca State Park in Loredo just in time to wash the Motor home and enjoy the sunset.
