Merry Christmas from our Winter Park

Just a short blog to wish all of our friends and family and anyone else reading, a very Merry Christmas and Happy 2014! We will miss meeting up with RV friends headed to Casa Grande. Unfortunately, Tom has had some health setbacks and we must stay close to doctors this winter. Not to worry...once his doctor gets him fixed up and he gets over some nasty pneumonia that is dragging him down, he will be back in the saddle again, I mean the driver's seat!

Meanwhile, we are in Pueblo El Mirage RV & Golf Resort, in El Mirage, AZ (outside of Sun City, and Goodyear, AZ.) The fly-boys from Luke Air Force Base are constantly training overhead. Of course Tom has to tell me "That's an F16. That's a F22, There goes a C130!" They are nostalgic for him, bringing back his work days at Goodyear when he spent time at the base checking out airplane tires. We are so proud of our military, and thankful.

This park is a little more pricey than what we prefer, but it is prime winter real estate for snowbirds. I've been taking pickleball lessons once a week. With 18 courts and 4 "free" instructors you can be sure I'm getting my money's worth. Hoping to "up" my game before I meet up with our pickleball friends. Just wish Tom felt well enough to play too.

Merry Christmas to Both of You
Please give Tom our best ..........hope that "doc" gets him feeling better real soon. In the meantime practice pickleball real hard - and give him some good competition when he's back on the courts. Of course we always wish you were back here in Florida - but we do hope that you have the very best holiday. Not sure if you know that Rich and I sold our RV and bought a home on Lake June, here in Lake Placid Florida. Looks like a beautiful "winter" spot for snowbirds. Your photos, especially of the flower and the sunrise, look like ones you could submit for publication. Can't believe you would need pickleball lessons, Karen, but I guess there's always room for improvement. Enjoy your time in the sunny Southwest. And best wishes to you, Tom, on your rehab/healing.

Sorry to hear about Toms health issues, we will be in CG 2 weeks in Jan and the month of Feb, perhaps all will be well by then I hope. I can't imagine you needing lessons but I bet it is fun. Got another beagle this spring, another challenge. Merry Christmas and get well soon, Gene
