trip to Arizona
Donna & I by our cactus Today is Oct 12th, 2010
We spent last night in Sedona. What a nice campground. We have been in Oro Valley, Arizon for my nephew, Zac's Wedding. What a great time we had. We rented a house there. Shea, Vicki, Gage, Sara & Shane stayed there with us. Sean & Liz stayed in a hotel. I guess I should go back a bit. We spent Monday the 4th of Oct with our friends in Cortez. On the 5th, we had the flat tire on the camper on our way to Shiprock, NM. We spent the night of Oct 5th in Show Low, Arizona. We arrived in Oro Valley on Wed Oct 6th. We stayed at the Catalina Campground that night and then we stayed at the house the 7th,8th 9th and left for Scottsdale on the 10th. We had Dinner with Stan & Donna Balka there and then we went to Sedona on Monday the 11th. Today we will start heading to Moab, Utah. We want to go back and see the Landscape and the Delicate arches.
This is what I (Donna) have to add to Dave's posting. The wedding was fun, the bride was beautiful and the groom handsome.
trip to Arizona
our Grandson at the wedding He didn't mention that we saw quail on the fence and a bobcat/lynx in our backyard. I thought bobcats and lynx were the same, but one lives in the mountains and one in the desert. I don't know which is which, but since we had cactus in the front yard and mountains in the near distance, I say it could go either way. He was looking for a tasty morsel and eyeing Dave - a tasty morsel indeed.
AZ has lots of bridges, riverbeds with names and canals. Not a drop of water in or under any of them. I think it's a case of "build it and they will come."
